In 2007, a small group of hardcore nature lovers, environmental enthusiasts, and committed conservationists came together with a single question in mind — Can we save what’s left, before it’s too late?
That question became a movement. That movement became 'Save Ecosystem And Tigers' - SEAT.
What started as informal field visits and passionate discussions around a shared love for the forest, formally took shape as a dedicated wildlife conservation society. Our core belief was simple yet profound: To study nature in order to save it.
For us, the Tiger is not just an animal. The Tiger is the pulse of the forest. It is the apex, the indicator, the key element of a healthy ecology.
We believe that if you protect the Tiger, you automatically protect everything beneath it — the herbivores it preys on, the trees that shelter them, the water that sustains them, and the entire forest ecosystem. Saving the Tiger is not just about saving one species; it is about saving an entire ecosystem.
At SEAT, we know that true conservation is impossible without people. Applying the best scientific methods available to save the marvelous array of life on our planet is our mission, but science alone is not enough.
That is why our team goes deep into the heart of the matter — into remote forest villages. We sit with the villagers, listen to their problems, and understand the root cause of man-animal conflict. We work to build trust and to help enhance their living conditions, because a community that thrives is a community that protects.
Through these actions, we aim to give every villager an understanding of their own vital place in the natural world, and inspire both individual and collective action for a truly sustainable future.
Our planet’s incredible wildlife occupies an equally diverse range of habitats. When a habitat is threatened, the entire ecosystem degrades. Plants and animals are pushed to the brink of extinction.
Deforestation destroys homes. The killing of herbivores for food and entertainment puts immense pressure on carnivores, forcing them out of the forest and into our villages — creating conflict.
In this conflict, wildlife cannot plead its own case. So we speak for them.
To do this, SEAT deploys a wide range of tools and tactics — from in-depth policy analysis and powerful advocacy to legal intervention, innovative scientific research, technology-driven programs, and relentless on-ground field conservation.
Because wildlife conservation is not a one-day job. It needs everyday attention. And SEAT is taking a leading role in shaping smart, effective policies to conserve, protect, and restore wildlife and habitats across the entire region.
What began as a shared passion in 2007 became a formally registered force for change in 2013.
