In year 2007 some hardcore nature lovers, environment enthusiasts and nature conservationists came together and formed a formal wildlife conservation society named 'Save Ecosystem and Tiger' (SEAT). The main object of this society was to study and conserve nature. The major objective is to save 'Tiger' which is known to be the key element of our ecology. This group believes that the protection and conservation of 'Tigers' will ultimately lead to a healthy forest ecosystem.
Saving the marvelous array of life on our planet by applying the best scientific methods available is a mission of this group. To achieve this goal, it is essential to take the local communities in confidence and help enhance their living conditions. To identify the conflict areas the members of the group visit the forest villages and try to understand their problems.Through these actions, we aim to give villagers an understanding of their place in the natural world and their need for individual and collective action for a sustainable future.
Our planet's incredible array of wildlife occupies an equally diverse variety of habitats. When the habitat is threatened the ecosystem of the area is degraded. The plants and animals face the danger of extinction. The deforestation leads to man-animal conflict. The destruction of the habitat, forests and killing herbivorous animals in the forest for entertainment as well as for food puts pressure on the carnivore. In such cases the wildlife can't plead their cases - so we speak for them.
SEAT deploys a wide range of tools and tactics, from policy analyses and advocacy to litigation, innovative science, and technology programs and field conservation. Wildlife conservation is an issue that needs everyday attention. SEAT is taking a leading role in shaping smart policies to conserve, protect and restore wildlife and habitats across the region.
The formal group named 'Save Ecosystem and Tigers' (SEAT) was registered in the same name in the year 2013. The organization was registered under the provision of the Society Registration Act 1860 and Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 at Assistant Charity Commissioner, Nagpur. The registrations No. are MH-1064/13(Nag) and F-31812(Nag).
